Canada Games House (CGH), proudly presented by Canadian Tire, is your ultimate home base throughout the Games.

Located downtown at the St. John’s Convention Centre, CGH is a welcoming space designed for athletes, their families, friends and any accredited individuals to gather, celebrate, and enjoy their Canada Games experience together.

Whether you're celebrating a great performance, meeting up with family, or just looking to relax, this is the place to be.

Access to Canada Games House

Athletes, coaches and mission staff with Games accreditation can access Canada Games House.  

Parents, family, and friends without accreditation are welcome to visit. They need to provide the name of their athlete and province or territory at the entrance, and they will be given a wristband granting access to CGH throughout the week.

Parents, family, and friends do not need to have their athlete with them to come and enjoy the space.

What is Canada Games House?

Canada Games House is a private venue for friends, families, athletes, and VIP guests to celebrate, gather, watch and relax during the 2025 Canada Games. 

What happens at Canada Games House?

Canada Games House is a dynamic space where athletes, families, and fans can relax, connect, and celebrate. It features six themed zones, including the Watch Zone for live Games coverage, the Burn Zone for games and tournaments, and the Recharge Zone for low-key fun with books, board games, and video games. The Quiet Zone offers a calm space to rest, while the Craft Zone invites creativity with daily crafts and special projects on Theme Days. In the Memory Zone, guests can snap selfies, find their name on the Athlete Wall, and contribute to the Cheer Wall and Team Canada pin map. There’s something for everyone, every day.

Who can go to Canada Games House?

Athletes, coaches, and mission staff with official Games accreditation have full access to Canada Games House. Parents, family, and friends without accreditation are also welcome. At the entrance, they will be asked to provide their athlete’s name and province or territory. Once registered, they will receive a wristband granting access for the week. Guests do not need to be accompanied by their athlete.

Is it free to enter Canada Games House?

With the proper credentials noted above, entry to Canada Games House is free. 

Will there be food?

Drinks and light snacks are available inside Canada Games House. Guests are also welcome to bring in food and beverages purchased in the main area of the Convention Centre.

Will there be beverages?

Non-alcoholic beverages are available for purchase within St. John’s Convention Centre. 

Can I bring my own food and drink into the venue?

No, please consume your items before entering the venue, or pack it away until after you leave. 

Is it an indoor or outdoor space? 

This is an indoor space within the St. John’s Convention Centre and Main Festival Hub.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the public sidewalks serving the St. John’s Convention Centre feature curb cuts for wheelchair access. Automatic doors are located at the Main Entrance on New Gower Street as well as the Public Access door in the parking garage. Restrooms throughout the building are wheelchair accessible.

Are there any age restrictions for entry? 

No, there are no age restrictions for entry. 

Are there any scheduled events or programming?

Yes, beyond daily live streaming of Canada Games sporting events and casual games, there will be a range of special programming throughout the two weeks. This includes themed celebration days, cultural activities, entertainment, and surprise appearances. Each day brings something new and exciting, creating a festive atmosphere for all participants and visitors to enjoy. Stay tuned for daily highlights and updates! 

Is there parking?

There are three parking garages located within walking distance of the venue: 100 Pownal Street, 222 Queen Street and corner of Fitzroy and Prince Streets. Two-hour metered parking is also available throughout downtown Charlottetown.

Are there any organized shuttles from Athletes Village to Canada Games House? 

Yes, Canada Games House is a scheduled stop on the Athlete Spectator Bus. 

Is there a dress code?

No, come to relax and be comfortable. Those attending private events might receive additional dress code communication but that is the exception. 

Is there a private room to keep my bags or gear while visiting?

No, please ensure you keep your possessions with you at all times. 

Will special guests be in attendance?

Yes, follow us on social media @canadagames and @2025canadagames for those announcements. 

Will there be photography?

Yes.  We will be taking photos and/or videos to promote the 2025 Canada Games across our social media platforms. By entering this private area, you consent to photography and video recording and its/their release to be used for social media and promotional purposes. If you prefer to stay in the background, please speak to one of our staff members or the photographer/videographer. We will make every effort to comply with your wishes.

Is there staff on-site to support? 

The venue is operated by St. John’s Convention Centre. Canada Games House is managed by a professional Event Management Team, with oversight by the 2025 Host Society and support from Volunteers and the Canada Games Council.
