Safe Sport

St. John's 2025 is for everyone.

SAFE SPORT POLICY

The Canada Games Council (CGC) and 2025 Host Society believe that everyone involved in sport has the right to participate in a safe and inclusive environment that is free of abuse, harassment or discrimination. In short, there’s no tolerance for maltreatment at the Canada Games.

We’re only interested in playing fair, being respectful and keeping the good vibes going when it comes to the next generation of sport.

Together, we can have a positive impact on sport by staying aware, demanding better, and speaking up about maltreatment in any form.

The CGC and 2025 Host Society are committed to ensuring a safe and positive environment within our programs, activities and events. We support equal opportunity, prohibit discriminatory practices and are committed to providing an inclusive environment free from harassment, abuse or discrimination.

If you have witnessed, or believe you have witnessed, maltreatment in sport or any other incident that may give rise to a violation of the Universal Code of Conduct to Prevent and Address Maltreatment in Sport (UCCMS), you must report it to the Host Society’s Independent Third Party (ITP), EWC Sport Consulting.
