The St. John’s 2025 Canada Games Host Society invites submissions from residents and artists of Newfoundland and Labrador to design the obverse (front side) of the medals for the 2025 Canada Games.
Designing the medals for the 2025 Canada Games offers local artists a unique opportunity for national recognition. The winning design will leave a lasting legacy, celebrated by the community and athletes for years to come. The chosen artist will receive a $2,000 honorarium, a commemorative set of medals, will be featured in our marketing, and will be honoured at the medal unveiling.
Original Design: Must be original and not previously produced.
Specifications: Suitable for a round medal 75mm in diameter, incorporating a ribbon loop, and must follow provided shape specifications.
Bilingual Text: Any text must include English and French (translation provided by Host Society if necessary).
Incorporate Logo: Must include the St. John’s 2025 Canada Games logo per brand standards (brand standards).
Theme: Reflect the unique nature, theme, culture, and spirit of the 2025 Canada Games and Newfoundland and Labrador.
Selection: Winning design chosen by the Medal Design Committee. The Host Society reserves the right to create an internal design.
Eligibility: Open to Newfoundland and Labrador residents aged 19+, including those with proof of residency in the region for the previous four months.

Dates: July 24, 2024 - November 15, 2024, 4 p.m. NL time.
